Circle GOIL now a tourist site

Goil Goil

After a month from the June 3 Twin Disaster, the Kwame Nkrumah Circle branch of the Ghana Oil Company Limited (GOIL) is gradually becoming a tourist site in Accra. The very spot was the centre of major focus during the night of which both flood and fire took countless number of lives in the capital city.

Other parts of Accra as well suffered various forms of atrocities including loss of lives and properties.

As it were, many Ghanaians everywhere wished they were at the Circle GOIL on the night to witness what was befalling the one time busy business centre upon hearing it in the news. For this reason people both near and far have been storming the most affected location to see for themselves the debris remains left with Ghana by the terrible occurrence.

The scene has since been under security protection and fenced to prevent unauthorized public trespasses inside the premises of the filling station. And the very fence is now serving as notice board for numerous posters of those who met their untimely death either by the flood, fire or both.

Almost everyone who touches the place get stacked and speechless not believing what they see. Others share tears regardless of them having direct relatives falling victims to the unpassed.
