Former Joy FM Morning Show host Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah has denied inducing delegates in the just ended parliamentary primaries with canned fish and gallons of oil.

Oppong-Nkrumah won the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary primary in Ofoase-Ayirebi in the Eastern region with 219 votes.

He beat John Obiri Yeboah and Bright Asamoah Acquah. Both men had 145 and 54 votes respectively.

Some of his opponents have accused him of inducing delegates to secure the victory.

But speaking on Starr Chat with host Bola Ray on Wednesday, Oppong-Nkrumah said it is not true that he secured his victory by bribing the delegates.

“It is not true, I never did that,” Oppong-Nkrumah said.

He added that he decided to enter into politics to be directly involved in shaping the destiny of the nation.
