Randy must wait for Nyantakyi exhaust his chances – Abra Appiah

Premier League Board Chairman, Welbeck Abra Appiah expects the incumbent Ghana FA Boss Kwesi Nyantakyi to be allowed to serve his term of office until he has exhausted his opportunities to contest for the top job at the nation’s soccer governing body, according to the GFA Statutes, before Randy Abbey is considered for the Presidency of the football association.

“Randy Abbey did very well while he was on the (Black Stars) management committee with Kwesi Nyantakyi and Fred Pappoe. But to me, Kwesi must finish his term of office and when he is no longer interested in contesting, then we talk about Randy should step in so we must be patient,” Abrah Appiah told Happy FM.

Randy Abbey recently rejected an appointment from Kwesi Nyantakyi to become the Chairman of the Black Queens management committee, which led to claims in the local sports media that he was rather aiming at the post of GFA Boss.

Randy Abbey has not publicly declared that he is interested in the Ghana FA Presidency with the Elections to be held later this year.
