AI Diesel promotes smoke free environment

AI Diesel (GH) Limited has assured Ghanaians that it will help promote a smoke free environment.

That assurance comes in the wake of many airborne diseases that in the past had affected many people in the country as a result of environmental pollution.

That worrying situation, according to some health personnel who spoke to Today on condition of anonymity, was largely due to emissions from exhaust pipes of automobiles.

Statistics available at the Ghana Health Service (GHS) showed that about 58% airborne diseases in Ghana come from air pollution which is due to emissions from automobiles.

But in an interview with Today over the weekend, Managing Director of A1 Diesel, Mr. Aldis Ozols, allayed fears of the public when he disclosed that one core area of their work is to reduce the emissions emitted by automobiles that have problems with their injectors, pumps, engines and exhaust pipes.

He said while the company was poised to move the country’s automobile industry to the next level, it would also fight against airborne diseases by providing quality services to the automobile industry where the problem is more precarious. “We want to give the best to the Ghanaian automobile industry and in doing so we will also help in fighting environmental pollution,” the MD of AI Diesel indicated.

He disclosed that his company was specialist in the remanufacturing of all kinds electronic/manual diesel injectors, pumps, and turbo chargers.

And apart from ensuring that Ghana experiences smoke free environment, Mr. Aldis Ozols hinted that his company would also give Ghanaians competitive price and quality diesel components.

AI Diesel, he said, after two years in operation has provided services to companies like the Metro Mass Transport (MMT,) Antrak, Erdmarc among others.
