Kotoko’s Africa Committee Secretary blasts Hearts over “Yaanom” quote

Asante Kotoko’s CAF Champions League Committee Secretary, Kweku Ahenkorah has taken a swipe at the Hearts of Oak media team for referring to the Porcupine Warriors as “Yaanom” on the Premier League fixture list on the Phobian’s official website.

After publishing the Phobians’ fixture list with the correct names of all their opponents for the domestic top flight’s first round, the Hearts online reporters decided to replace Kotoko’s name with “Yaanom” and labeled the venue as “Yaanom Stadium”.

“They are looking for traffic and you want serious people to visit the website and whether you like it or not, no serious company will take the Hearts website serious when the online team works like this. How can you tag Kotoko as Yaanom? This is unprofessional,” Kweku Ahenkorah told DailySoccerGhana.com.

Hearts of Oak will travel away to Kumasi to face Asante Kotoko in a match-day six fixture of the Premier League at the Baba Yara Stadium on February 8.
