DR. BAWUMIA:-----------
“In the last six years, the NDC has borrowed US$27 billion. Before that, we, the NPP, borrowed a total of US$5.5 billion in eight years. Compare that to the NDC borrowing $27 billion in six years and ask yourself what they have done with all that money,” the running mate to Nana Akufo-Addo said.
He said, though a lot more money has been spent, it is a paradox of economic management that this level of excessive spending has only led to greater hardships being visited on the people.
“NDC inherited a public debt stock of GHS9.5 billion in 2009,” the former Deputy Governor of the central bank said. “Today, Ghana’s debt has gone up to GHS65.7 billion. So when I say the stakes are high I am talking about the destiny of our country, Ghana, the future of the youth.”
“The NDC has been taxing everything, including condoms and cutlasses. In terms of resources, this NDC government has had more resources than any other government. We did not have oil. Yet, Ghanaians know what we did with the limited resources we had. We spent money responsibly to create the NHIS, introduce Capitation Grant, expand access to education, we spent wisely on infrastructure and built more roads than any other government,” he said.

Under Kufour we became an official beggar nation. As a beggar nation we stock out our tin cup and run our so-called independent nation from handout that turned out to be quid-pro-quo. Remember Kufour did not sell Ghana Telecom, Ghana Airways and all of their associated assets on the cheap to British and Irish interest because he was smart but because donor nations dictated to our goat head. Kufour also gave away our newly discovered oilfield because once addicted to being a puppet there was nowhere else to go but to appease the master. Yes beggars go through life mostly without bills and with no shame, wisdom and or foresight and that's the bottom line
If Kufour and Dr. Bawumia at BoG had laid down sustainable projects and or implemented best government practices at government institutions, subsequent government could not have undone sustainable projects; they will not be called sustainable projects then. What we have in Ghana is lack of best practices and sustainable budgets and or government initiated projects. As such either an incoming government terminate initiated projects of previous governments or carry on borrowing to keep the unsustainable crap going. Where in the Kufour budgets and or articles of parliament can you cite that would see to the continued viability of school feeding program Ofie? The NPP are no better than NDC they are on the opposite sides of a corrupt 4 cedi coin or note and that is not a compliment

Come on Buddy,
What kind of reasoning is that? Kufuor is not my idol, but you cannot just distort facts in support of a bogus theory. Was it Kufuor that took Ghana to HIPIC?
Kufuor met empty national coffers and managed to grow the national economy by more than 300% in 8years! He got the loans for the completion of the Bui Dam and the power plant at Bonyere. Instead of Wofa Ata,sticking to that national programme, he was bamboozled by the NDC king pins to review and re-award every energy contract because that was where the money was to be made.
The power plant was scheduled to be completed in 2010. Four years on, it is still struggling at Atoabo. Kufuor added 6 billion to the national debt in 8 years, with concrete social policy and infrastructure results to show for. The NDC in six years has added 60 billion. What is there to show for all that?
It was this kind of distortion on national radio and television by rogues like Ama Benyiwa-Doe, Victor Smith and others that landed Oman Ghana with this bunch of Savannah rogues who do not seem to know their noses from their arse holes!

Speedy, the budget which has just been passed does not empower the private sector to employ more people. For starters, taxes have been increased. The investment funds from the private sector is taken away from them, that way. there will less saving which in turn will drive up the costs of borrowing. The purchasing power of the people will be reduced. Local goods will cost more than foreign goods which will invariably transfer jobs outside. All the fundamentals are wrong. Government policy will have to change to support the private sector.

How is this collaboration going to happen? Isn't the government the big brother here? Is it not the government that is supposed to facilitate the collaboration? Are you saying government is pursuing collaboration and businesses and schools are resisting? Listen and learn something from me. The NDC government of Ghana is overbearing and have swallowed up the dignity of Ghanaians, their businesses and schools with wanton incompetence and corruption. We Africans depend solely on government for employment due the3 fact that one can`t be sacked even if he or she is caught in corrupt practice. The case is that the government has to open up a way in such an atmosphere that the public sector could also take care of the citizens to have stable employment. Looking at the number of universities springing up, the government alone can`t handle employment. The same politicians are saying this but their kids would get something to do at the end of the day.

Officially Ghana is not experiencing a recession but since a lot of the economy in this country is not measured that is very possible. Having said that our problems are entirely different from Japan and the other western countries. We just don't apply wisdom as Otabil said. The gdp growth is not spread out enough to affect the majority of people. It's effectively two economies within a single country. One with growth another with a recession. The corruption too is not allowing the growth to filter down to the ordinary man. The only solution is a drastic shift in policy and governance. The institutional culture must change. Theft must be punished

Ghanaians waits till things get late before talking about the problems. When ghana govt leaded by Hannah Tetteh and John Mahama were signing Trade agreement with EU nobody cared about what they were sign as far us they will give ghana pieces of paper call money.
IMF is not different from EU, the head of IMF and her planners are all EU.
EU and IMF want ghanaians to do things like the way they do in EU. Ghana will buy and pay for everything at the same price like EU.
IMF and EU are not in ghana to help ghanaians, they are in ghana to make profit out of our ignorance.
Why do you think we should be pay for fuel at the same price as EU countries when we have our owe fuel.
Ghanaians forgets or dont know the oil fields belong to EU companies. They want to make sure the get their money invested fast before giving an empty oil fields to ghana in twenty years time. If they can get a good price for their oil why sell it to ghanaians at a cheap price.
Ghanaians should forget about any employment by the govt because ghana govt is now EU, IMF, WB and Chinese. Whatever they say goes.
Educating our children is senseless as far as work and employment by the govt.
NDC govt must go before NPP can re- negotiate on behalf of ghanaians.
NGOs in ghana are nothing but foreigners managing ghana. Why cant govt do and pay workers who do the jobs of NGOs.
Ebola is from NGOs for drug companies and nothing else. How many die of malaria in africa a year, compare that to Ebola and NOTHING is ever done about Mosqutoes. They sell us drug to cure malaria and give us dirt to feel the mosqutoes.
They spray Accra only if white leaders are coming there. Why not spray the whole of Africa as they did in Europe.
