We’ll make Grant succeed…Agyeman Badu pledges

Ghana midfielder Agyemang Badu has joined the growing list of Black Stars players who have pledged their support for yet-to-be-named Ghana coach Avram Grant.

Badu belongs to the group that shares the view that the success of a trainer is to a large extent linked to how dedicated his players are.

The Udinese man said at the team’s reception last Wednesday evening at the Alisa Hotel that “I know he is a good coach. If he is given the nod, why not, we will support him. We will make him succeed. I believe in players contributing to the successes of coaches.”

Noted for his high work rate, the former Asante Kotoko/ Berekum Arsenal star is tipped to pick first team shirt in tomorrow’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Uganda in Kampala.

The 2009 U-20 World Cup winner expressed the hope that he and his colleagues would snatch victory from the Cranes, but admitted the game would be a tough one.

Avram Grant returned to Ghana after his impressive interview earlier to conclude his deal with the Ghana football Association (GFA).
