Black Stars skipper Asamoah Gyan has heaped praises on stand-in coach Maxwell Konadu.

The Al-Ain forward, speaking to the press at the Landing Restaurant in Accra, said he has so much respect for the Ghana deputy coach because of what he (coach) stands for.

When asked about the difference between former Black Stars coach Kwesi

Appiah and Konadu, in terms of style and philosophy, he revealed that there is no difference.

He described Konadu as a man of his word pointing out, “Maxwell understands

the game. He has experience and I like his personality; and he is a man of his word.He is a great coach and has a bright future.”

Konadu took over from his superior (Appiah) who fell out of favour with his

employers, the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

He has so far managed a win and a draw from two Nations Cup qualifiers, and

has been tasked to lead the Stars to yet another double tie against Uganda this Saturday and later against Togo in Tamale on November 19.
