GFA risk another court case - Lawyer Egbert Faibille

Lawyer to King Faisal in the on-going lawsuit against the GFA, Egbert Faibille has stated that King Faisal will have to play in the proposed Novelty league by the Ghana Football Association or risk being dragged to court.

Egbert Faibille revealed this in an exclusive interview with Radio GIJs Sports Center.

“We have said that if we are not made part of the Novelty league, we would go to court,” he said declaring that the GFA congress, which decides on club relegation and promotion has not been held.

“The GFA’s congress which herald the onset of a new season is what determines which clubs have been relegated and which has not been relegated. As we speak, the congress has not been held, so assumptions should not be made based on the league log.”

President of Kumasi-based King Faisal FC, Alhaji Abdul karim popularly known as Alhaji Grusah, dragged the Ghana Football Association before the Accra High court, after two sub-committees (Appeals committee and Disciplinary committee) of the judicial committee of the GFA threw out their case against Aduana Stars for non-payment of a statutory fine.

The court is set to rule on the three applications filed by the GFA on Friday.
