We’ll "crush" all anarchists – AFAG warns

Pressure group Alliance For Accountable Governance (AFAG) has warned it will “crush” any detractors who attempt marring its Wednesday demonstration.

“We warn all agents employed to foment trouble on Wednesday to reconsider their thought. We will crush any such faithful sent to attack the peaceful protest,” the leadership of AFAG warned in a statement issued Tuesday.

The demonstration, according to AFAG is to expose corruption in the Mahama administration, as well as let the masses know how incompetent and uncaring the current government is.

“Our actions are justifiable. This NDC government is insincere, lacks competence, transparency and above all very corrupt.”

“Almost every policy to promote the interest of the people has been fraught with corruption resulting in the mass hopelessness,” AFAG asserted.

According to the group: “There is no midway to the current economic circumstances. It’s either you are worse off, and want a change or better off, and want John Mahama and his incompetent regime to continue reigning economic terror.”

“We need a spirited determination to overcome the oppressive rule of John Mahama. Certainly John Mahama got it wrong. Mr. President you have incurred over GHS 42 billion debts, but there are no investments to show. Mr. President, the ordinary Ghanaian quizzes: where is our money?”

The group quoted a recent lamentation of Majority Leader Alban Bagbin when he said: "All the people I groomed, some of whom are ministers now–I spent almost 24 years in parliament–[but] I can’t compare myself to them when we talk about acquisition of property, but because you see me in a Land cruiser–which is my official car–you think I’m enjoying", to stress that: “…Over enjoyment and property acquisition by public officials is the cause of our economic woes.”
