Nkoranza Municipality seeks more revenue

Madam Stella Amoatemaa, the Municipal Chief Executive for Nkoranza South, has appealed to revenue collectors to strive to collect more revenue for the Municipality.

Addressing the Second Ordinary meeting of the Fourth Session of the Assembly on Tuesday at Nkoranza, she expressed concern about the Assembly’s inability to meet its revenue target for 2013.

Madam Amoatemaa said the Assembly had established a Municipal Health and Epidemiology Response Committee with the objective of ensuring immediate intervention in cholera cases as well as other epidemics like Ebola viral disease.

She urged residents to observe personal hygienic and also promote good environmental and sanitation practices in their communities as a measure to protect themselves against communicable diseases.

Madam Amoatemaa said the Assembly was undertaking several development projects in the Munkcipality and these include school blocks, sanitation facilities, Community Based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) Compounds, markets and rehabilitation of some feeder roads.
