Former National Sports Authority Boss, Worlanyo Agrah, has described the death of the PRO of the National Sports Authority, Hamidu Issaka as a big blow to the sporting fraternity.

The long-serving Public Relations Officer of the National Sports Authority, Hamidu Issakah passed on yesterday at the Police Hospital in Accra after he was taken ill.

Investigations have revealed that, Issaka was making arrangements in the morning to embark on a journey to Tamale where the Black Stars will play Guinea on Wednesday but complained of neck pains. He was subsequently rushed to the Police Hospital where he passed on few hours later.

Alhaji Hamidu Issakah 57 was laid to rest at the Achimota Muslim Cemetery as Islamic custom demands. Former NSA Boss, Worlanyo Agrah says the news came to him as a shock.

“I am still in a shock after I heard of Issaka’s death”.

“He was someone who was committed to his work and for now I’m still hoping and praying that we can get someone who can at least match up his commitment and dedication to the job”, Mr. Agrah said.
