GNPC to sponsor Amputee Football

Board Chairman of the Ghana National Petroleum Company, Ato Ahwoi, has confirmed that his outfit is set to be named as the Headline Sponsors for Ghana Amputee Football Federation in the coming days.

Sportscrusader.com sources say officials of the Ghana Amputee football Federation sent a proposal to the Petroleum Company ahead of their participation in the upcoming world cup in Mexico.

The proposal, which has been approved by the Board of the company, will see GNPC sponsoring the Amputee football for close to three years to aid their development.

Board member, Ato Ahwoi, confirmed this to sportscrusader.com.

“We have received proposals from Amputee football federation and we are bent on sponsoring them. That is what corporate bodies can do; they should take one discipline to sponsor to lessen the burden on government.”
