GIFMIS re-activated for transaction processing

The Controller and Accountant- General's Department has announced that it has reopened the Ghana Integrated Financial Management Information System (GIFMIS), which was temporarily shut down.

The system was shut down on Sunday, August 24 to ensure its migration to the Real Applications Cluster (RAC).

A statement signed by Grace Adzroe, the Controller and Accountant-General, and copied to the Ghana News Agency, in Accra, on Tuesday said, following the successful migration of the system to the RAC, it has now been opened for processing of transactions by the Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) as well as Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs).

“The Department has dispatched technical teams to all MDAs/MMDAs to assist existing users to access the GIFMIS platform on the new RAC and users who may experience any challenge in accessing the system should contact GIFMIS Service Desk,” it said.

It commended MDAs and MMDAs and other stakeholders for their cooperation and support during the period of the migration.
