Six banks vie for Best Technology Advanced Bank

Six banks have been nominated for the Best Technology Advanced bank of the Year and Best Use of Mobile Technology in Financial Services categories at the 4th Ghana Telecom Awards scheduled to come off at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra on the 31st May, 2014.

They are Zenith Bank, GT Bank, Fidelity Bank, Standard Bank, UT Bank and Ecobank.

Last year, Fidelity Bank was the only banking institution that won an award at the 2013 edition of the Ghana Telecom Awards, with the Best Bank in ICT Innovations award.

The nomination of three banks in this year’s awards shows the advancement banks have made in using technology to provide financial services to consumers.

The Ghana Telecom Awards, which is in its 4th year, has become the benchmark for outstanding performance in the industry and a symbol of excellence to mark leadership, quality and innovation.

According to the award organiser and Group Publisher of Mobile World Magazine, Mr. Akin Naphtal; the categories will reward and encourage banks that have deployed the use of technological innovations for the benefit of its customers.
