Total Petroleum Ghana commissions new service station

Management of Total Petroleum Ghana Limited has opened a new service station at Tema as part of the Company’s strategy to develop its operations in the oil marketing industry.

Mr. Ben Dagadu, Deputy Minister for Energy and Petroleum, said the Ministry had been following the developments in the downstream sector, which is expanding rapidly, with Total as one of the forerunners.

He said the government remained committed in supporting both local and foreign investors, and adding that “Ghana continues to be one of the leading destinations for investment on the African continent”.

Mr. Dagadu said the government was aware of the critical role the downstream sector played and had put in place measures that would strengthen their technical, managerial and financial capabilities.

He said the government was working to resource the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) and was in talks with Petro Saudi to come on board as a strategic partner to revamp TOR.

Mr. Dagadu urged companies to take advantage of the opportunities associated with Ghana’s status as an oil producing country to create more employment avenues for the youth.

Mr. Momar Nguer, Vice President for Total Africa and Middle East, said the company had constantly provided quality products and services to its customers, across the country.

He said in order for the company to deliver the highest level of customer satisfaction by operating according to standards of ethics and business conduct, there was a need for making significant strategic investments.

Mr. Nguer said the company had introduced several successful products and services in response to the ever-changing trends in the need of its customers.

He said the company was the only oil marketing company to have introduced a mobile laboratory, which travels across the country, carrying out quality and safety checks at their service stations.
