Deputy Minister Rachel Appoh ties the knot

Deputy Minister for Gender, Women and Social Protection, Rachel Apoh has tied the knot with her lover who she has dated for 13 years after they first met at the Cape Coast Polytechnic.

The Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central constituency tied the knot over the weekend at the Dr. Wayat Church of Pentecost in Accra which was filled to capacity.

The lucky man, who walked down the aisle with the affable female politician, is Samuel Nana Opoku, who is reported to be in his mid-thirties.

He works with Halliburton, an oil company as the Health Safety and Environmental Coordinator for the West Africa region.

Reports indicate that he hails from Atiwa-Darko in the Ashanti region.

Present at the ceremony were the Vice President, Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur, the Ahwoi brothers, MPs from the NPP and the NDC.

Others who graced the ceremony included Education Minister Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang, Deputy Ministers in the Mahama administration and other dignitaries.

Popular Radio presenter Abeiku Santana and Former Afia Schwarzenegger were the MCs for the reception.
