Great Immortals Beat Fame Stars

Aburi, (Eastern Region) Nov. 6 Ahwerease Great Immortals beat Dzorwulu Fame Stars 3-1 in a friendly football match at Ahwerease, near Aburi, as part of activities marking the annual "Odwira" festival of the Chiefs and people of Ahwerease at the weekend. Immortals took a 2-0 first half lead through centre forward Kofi Akuffo and right winger George Amoah in the second and 35th minutes respectively. Outside left Adjei Ashong pulled one back for the Stars in the 66th minute but left winger Ernest Appiah made it 3-1 for Immortals in the 85th minute through a penalty. At Darmang, near Nsawam, Ahuntem Evergreens drew 1-1 with Ahwerease Mighty Jet in another friendly match.
