Asiedu Nketia should stop attacks on Akufo-Addo - Kabila

The General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) has been slammed for his ‘continuous verbal attack’ on Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo, 2012 flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the first petitioner in the just ended election petition dispute.

Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia, popularly known as General Mosquito, following the Supreme Court ruling, is alleged to have indicated that Nana Akufo-Addo conceded defeat because ‘he had no option’.

He is also quoted to have said that the first petitioner needs no commendation for admitting defeat since ‘he wasted the nation’s time by filing the case at the Supreme Court’.

After the nine Justices of the Supreme Court gave its final ruling on the election petition which favoured President John Dramani Mahama, Nana Addo in a speech accepted defeat and wished President Mahama well in his administration.

In utmost disgust at the utterances of General Mosquito, former National Youth Organiser of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), James Kwabena Bonfeh, also known as Kabila, says “Asiedu Nketia should be mindful of his words. He should know that he is matured, and an elderly man hence should talk as such; Nana Akufo-Addo is talking like that because he has no option? is that the way to talk? Is that a consolidatory language? This country belongs to all of us and nobody should make the mistake that it belongs to one person".

Kabila is convinced that General Mosquito and ‘his likes’ have been attacking Nana Akufo Addo because of his family background; adding, ‘leave the man (Akufo Addo) alone.

“Did he choose the family he should belong to? Did he choose who his family should be? He has been associated to war and violence, but the man (Akufo Addo) has proven that he is not like that...we have vilified that man more than enough. What has he done wrong? We should leave the man alone” he said curtly on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo' Morning Show.
