I won't rush Satellites players - Appiah

Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah has noted he will not rush the Under-20 players into the Black Stars.
His comments come in the wake of calls by Ghana FA president Kwasi Nyantakyi and soccer fans that some of the players deserve a Black Stars call-up.
Players like Clifford Aboagye, Ebenezer Assifuah, Frank Acheampong and Moses Odjer have received praise from Ghanaians following their stellar output at the just ended Fifa U20 World Cup in Turkey, but the Black Stars coach is of a different view.
He told Radio XYZ that a routine monitoring system has been put in place to pluck the players into the team gradually. “I actually went to Turkey purposely to have a look at the performance of these players. I believe that many of them played very well and some of them we will continue to monitor them,” Appiah stated.
Coach Appiah, who worked closely with former Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac in the promotion of eight young players from the U20 to the Black Stars in 2010, believes the junior tournament might not be enough to rate the quality of the players.
He added: “Personally, I don’t use few games to access a player, so we will still keep an eye on them and give them the opportunity gradually.
“Always the nation relies on these younger once who are coming up and once we keep tabs on them automatically they may play a part in the future. The nation wanted to watch them closely.”
