Global Trade Leaders’ Club honours MMT

The Global Trade Leaders’ Club (GTLC) based in Madrid, Spain has honoured the Metro Mass Transit (MMT) Limited in recognition of its commitment to quality and excellent service to the people of Ghana.

The GTLC award was an international business programme, which aims at rewarding transport and construction business organisations and also promotes them as potent emerging markets to the international society.

The GTLC recognised MMT as an exemplary, thriving and growing transport company with a clear focus on the rural folks in its daily operations, which sought to make significant contribution to its commuters and the general public.

Maxwell Awuku, Managing Director of MMT, addressing the entire workers and also to introduce the award conferred on the company with a trophy and certificate said, “the award put more responsibility on the company to deliver much better services and to motivate us to work hard for more awards.”

He dedicated the award to the entire members of staffs for their selfless and support leading to the success of the company.

“We are always challenged to go to great lengths to satisfy this international body so that Ghanaians get the benefit,” adding that “MMT will use the meeting to look at their interest by spending and attesting to new modes of constantly improving quality service.”

Mr Awuku said MMT was focused on adding more value to its services to the rural people in the coming years, adding that it would set up a public transport system, an integrated network of scheduled buses.

“Other vision are a public transport system inter-linking residential areas, business district, central bus terminals, suburbs and villages in a reliable, efficient, safe and affordable urban mass transportation service to the people of Ghana on a sustainable basis,” he stated.
