KPMG must explain 13,000 pink sheet find - Respondents

The First and Third respondents in the election petition case are demanding answers from International accounting firm KPMG over claims that additional 2,000 plus pink sheets have been added to those tendered in evidence by the Petitioners challenging the election results.

The accounting firm KPMG was contracted to audit the pink sheets following allegations of duplications and other difficulties in establishing the exact number of pink sheets tendered as evidence.

Spokesperson for the respondents, Nana Ato Dadzie, in an interview with XYZ News, said the accounting firm has to appear before the court to explain how some extra 2,000 plus pink sheets were added to the original figure of 11, 848 pink sheets.

“Dr. Bawumia on oath consistently maintained that they supplied us with 11,848 which they trimmed down to 11,138 or so pink sheets.

“Today we hear that there are 13,000 pink sheets, can anybody explain that, we are waiting for KPMG to come into the court, bring their records” Nana Ato Dadzie said.

He added: “somebody will have to explain how the additional 2,800 pink sheets surfaced from…there are interesting days ahead”.
