Uganda book June 1 Ghana friendly

Ghana have requested to play Uganda in a friendly in a build-up to next month’s World Cup qualifiers, according to reports in Kampala.
The Cranes have reported that they will face four-time Africa Cup of Nations champions the Black Stars by early June.
The report comes after Ghana pulled out of the friendly against Kenya which was scheduled for Nairobi on 1 June.
The Ghana FA has not confirmed whether they have approached Uganda for a friendly.
It looks like the Ghanaians are looking for quick opponents for the FIFA international friendly date after they pulled out of the Kenya game.
According to the report in Uganda, also interested in the Cranes is Libya. The North African side wants to host the Cranes in Tripoli in the same period Uganda will be playing Ghana.
Uganda FA vice president (technical) Livingstone Kyambadde explained that they are looking at May and the first week of June for the two games.
Ghana will use the match in preparation for June’s World Cup qualifiers against Sudan and Lesotho.
Uganda resumes its World Cup qualification campaign on June 8 against Liberia. The Cranes will be back in action a week later against Angola. Both matches are at Namboole.
