What sence is in your head? Even JHS student will tell you in the face you are stupid. Ask Richard Anane of NPP what he said a few weeks ago about fuel price increases, is he NDC to support it. Does electricity, and water generate enough money to pay public servants? what of taxes, gold, cocoa petroleum and other minerals. Ghana is a country not a political party. Whether NPP or NDC we must first see ourselves like Ghanaians before political parties. I am sure you were drawing money from your party and now that your party is in opposition you're peeved off because you are hungry. NPP increased fuel and other utilities prices if you care to know.Were they insensitive?or because they had Ashanti crown it was justified. The party does not run ECG so lead Ghanaians to demand better services from service porviders rather this blinded urguments to serve your illiterate folks since they see anything right than themselves.

The administration less than a year ago increased the salaries of the President, ministers, parliamentarians, etc. without caring a hoot about the salaries and wages of impoverished ghanaians which have stagnated over a long period of time.Does this say anything about the insensitivity of these fat cats in Accra to the plight of the millions who live under the poverty line every day?
Subsidising the prices of goods and services is a bad socialist economic policy that allows government and employers to pay meager salaries and wages to workers.It should have been scrapped many years ago and replaced with real living wages and salaries. The subsidy becomes a safety net and helps to minimize the hardships imposed on workers. If it has become necessary to remove the safety net then there must be corresponding increases in salaries and wages. They increased their salaries so why can't they do same for the average ghanaian? If they're asking the poor people on whose bent backs they ride to draw their fat salaries and juicy benefits to sacrifice then why can't they sacrifice too to make it a shared sacrifice for the rulers and those they rule"? We the people missed the gravy train the last time pay increases were ordered for the cream of society. To add salt to injury they made the increases retroactive 2009.They also draw free petrol. Haba! Let them show leadership by first slashing their fat salaries before asking those already suffering to make additional sacrifices.
There are too many people hardly working who spend their paid working hours hopping from one FM station to another engaging in trash talking and neglecting the work they are paid to do. Why bother to pay them if they dont have to do their assigned jobs? There are far too many drawing fat salaries who have no work to do. There are far too many ghost names on the government payrolls. All these are monies down the drain.Removing the huge waste from the system will save us a lot of needed money.Ghana is the poor country whose politicians live luxuriously on borrowed money but make reckless fiscal policies.When are the politicians going to learn to live modestly to reflect the difficult financial times?

Does it make any economic sense to you that we're unable to refine some of the made-in-Ghana crude oil at the Tema Oil Refinery for local consumption but travel overseas to buy expensive petrol? We buy expensive petrol overseas and pay for its shipment too .There is a huge waste here which can be described as economic crime against the state. No wonder we are the butt of many jokes in the civilized world.
By the way if we're so broke that government has to take away the safety net for the poor is it not time to ask how the NDC paid for the freebies doled out to millions of ghanaians before the elections? Lets put partisan politics aside and call a spade a spade.The equalization politricks and gimmicks and "obiara ba saa" rationalization must immediately stop if we love our country and want to see it progress. We have never been helped by these self centered policies and never will.

The recent petrol increases are not the fault of the government.We do -process petrol in Ghana but it has costs , i.e the chemicals , the foreign prsonnel involved , the storage and above all the petroleum affiliations and the OPEC involvement .
Tell me where we can blame the NDC for these.
When Kufuor's government was in power he the President was a globe trotter with a team on $5,000. per day per man allowance .If we calculate that amount over the eight years , we have lost a colossal money .Blame him and the NPP and not NDC for the hardship. What do we have as a propertty to equal the cedi to the dollar in our economy yet it is what The NPP government did since that was a way out for making money for themselves. The fact is those who grow cocoa always feel that the poor and the needy do not matter as such their arrogance .Look, no condition is permanent . The poor will never eat stones to full up.
Let us judge properly since even the NPP thinks they should rule this country yet the people have spoken and the die is cast .

quite enticing article but the fact is the barrel price of oil in the world market has steadily been increasing for a month now, so please give ndc some break and lets face reality. none of the two main partys has the good will of ghanaians because our micro/macroeconomic policies are not working or not being used to benefit the economy to ease the pressures on ghanaian consumers. what the government can do in the short term is to subsidized with part of our oil production to bring our importation of foreign oil down. we have oil and even the united state government does that when opec hype prices, they open their oil reserves and flood the american oil market with local oil to bring prices down and ghana can do the samething. what you are seeing now is the government pushing the increased prices on consumers and i think they are not subsidizing hence the price increment. our cedis is falling because as a nation we depend heavily on imported goods and the government can do better to cut our too dependent on imports and promote home goods. finally we have good for nothing parliamentarians who have always voted to promote anything the government send on board and that is very pathetic. this same people some of whom live in boys quaters and single bedrooms now want a whooping
50.000 ghana cedis for rent allowances and what have they done so far to merit this. the masses are suffering and yet no single parliamentarian is doing anything to bring the real issue ghana faces to light. i thought this is the time for the opposition party's to organize such things as demonstrations in protest to what i see as a free waiver government meaning our parliamentarians are just passing every government agenda without any recourse. am done but sit down and think about what everything i wrote here and we really have problem if we dont address our economic issues with some economic wisdom.
