Mr. Terkper undoubtedly has great academic and professional pedigree. But this man was the deputy minister from 2009 - 2013. And yet his ministry was full of monetary and economic malfeasance. The value of the cedi fell drastically; foreign debt rose profusely; money paid to undeserving people in the guise of judgment debts; economic projects are in standstill or moving at snail's pace. These are facts that need no brain to cover.
However, let's give the man the benefit of the doubt that he was not in full charge as deputy minister to do the right things. Now he is. He should show that he really worth the magnificent credentials under his belt.
