The Ghanaian electorate(s) is to blame for the wanton rape of Ghana's meager resources by the politicians.
instead of unity of sense of purpose to hold politicians accountable for their actions, we the people are rather polarized in choice of caliber of people who should rule us, unguided and devoid of history, honesty and capabilities.
The Ghanaian is his owns worst enemy.

I however support groups such as the GMA, GNAT, NAGRAT etc. to vigoroously pursue for increment of their salaries and allowances. When these Parliamentarians see that other sectors are sacrificing for the common they would be forced to do the same. Otherwise the country would descend into Chaos. I actually don't see why the Parliamentarians would agree to gang-rape the nation.

Very well said. However, it is the Ghanaians themselves who let it happen. The voters love being poor while the people who represent them feed fat on the national coffers. It will not change anytime soon.

Well said in all but the opposition parties are to be blamed. They talk about issues with "big englishes". Cleaver as the ruling party is, it appeals to the weak intelligence of the ignorant majority of our society through wild propaganda which these people understand well and this is the result. Any way where is the opposition in this 50,000 Ghana cedis housing allowance are they supporting it? Or when it comes to money matters "I and my father are one" God please intervene and save Ghanaians.

IF WE LOOK AT OTHER GHANAIAN WORKERS WILL NOTICE THAT ALL THE MONEIES GOES TO THESE SO CALL MP'S NOTHING GOES TO OTHERS.
WHAT WE CAN DO IS TO COME TOGETHER AS ONE PEOPLE NOT AS NPP NDC PPP AND WHATEVER, WE HAVE TO STAND ON OUR FIT AND TELL THEM TO REDUCE THEIR SALARIES ALLOWANCES AND WHAT HAVE YOU, IF NOT WE US GHANAIANS WILL SHOW THEM THAT WE ARE EQUALLY WANT TO ENJOY THE SWEAT OF GHANA MONEY.
IF THEY DID NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT THE WE SHALL SHOW THEM WHEN IT COME TO ANOTHER ELECTION NO ONE WILL CAST ANY SINGLE VOTE, WE WILL ALL SEAT IN OUR HOUSE, AND THEY SHOULD GO AND VOTE FOR THEMSELVE, AND I KNOW ONLY THEM CAN BE 500 PEOPLE OUT OF 25,000,000 PEOPLE IN GHANA, THIS MEANS NOBODY VOTED FOR THEM SO THEY HAVE NO RIGHT TO BE THERE AND TAKE ALL OUR MONEY.
BUT I KNOW WE HAVE A LOT OF SELFISH AND GREEDY PEOPLE AMONG US WHO WILL GO THERE TO VOTE, BUT IS THE VOTE CAST IS NOT MORE THAN THE POPULATION THE THEY ARE NOT QUALIFY.
SO MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS OF GHANA LET PUT OUR PARTIES ASIDE AND LET FIGHT FOR OUR MOTHER GHANA.

The adorably honest and patriotically people's centered respected President of Uruguay, Jose' Mujica donates 90% of his $12,500 salary to charity and keeps $1,500. The President resides on the wife's family farm with his family without any machoistic armed security guards and still drives in his old VW beatles. Can that be said in Ghana and Africa for that matter where abject poverty, and poor facilities is killing our people?
How many of our MPs are prepared to donate their even 10% of their salaries to the development of their native communities to help those who voted him to the legislation house? not to talk about the criminally immoral STX President and his "woyomenized" connections.
Ghana certainly need a Rawlings reborn!

Ghana will continue to fail and there is nothing anyone can do short of intervention from the Christian God or the Muslim Allah.
Anyone who has heard of the slang "monkey see, monkey do" understand that some of our so-called educated brothers, sisters and whatnots do think everything they've seen happening in developed western nations apply in Ghana and yet none of these educated but unwise fools seems to get the fact that those developed countries got where they are because of functioning institutions and or existing government set up that guarantee success.
There are advocates in Ghana who talk about salaries/wages of our MP's relative to pay scale in UK or USA while these brain dead advocates forget to compare either the development of those nations to that of Ghana or GDP of those countries to Ghana. It is the same folly that drove some to buy into the notion that multi-party system of elections is better than one party nation without the need for effective, efficient and accountable institutions. Ghana fails and will continue because our government set up was and is a failed institution since 1966.
Everyone who was with the Dumbo/Busia/Danquah “matemeho” crowd has had a chance to milk Ghana and those forbearers’ handed their ill-gotten riches down to their children; the power of money. These are the very clowns that continue to seek money before nation and riches at all cost before moral integrity or intellectual honesty.
