The Ghanaian that voted big is diverse. They are generous and of good heart. The color of Ghana. Everyone who voted for John Mahama wants this presidency to end on an upward trajectory, getting the best possible people around him. We are moving forward, we aren’t going back. NPP has a long way to go before it can win election.

Rawlings To Skip Inauguration
Ex-president Jerry John Rawlings will not participate in today?s swearing-in and inauguration of the President John Agyekum Kufuor.
Victor Smith, Aide to the ex-president, said although they have received an invitation, the former president would not witness the ceremony because of what he perceives as the fraudulent manner the December 7 general elections was organized.
? I have a copy of the invitation and I have even shown it to the former President, but we would not be there?, he said.
He said many things transpire during the elections, which were not healthy for the country?s democracy, stressing,? there was electoral fraud, cheating and a lot of things were doctored?.
Mr. Smith alleged that the Electoral Commission (EC) Dr Kwadwo Afari Djan was coerced into announcing the results when in other parts of the country; some electoral results had not been collated.
The suspicion of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) electoral Fraud stems from the fact that in the Pru Constituency, the NDC polled some votes and the party was convinced that the election was far from over.
Mr. Smith explained that these reasons informed the ex-president to turn down the invitation from the Castle.

Atta Mills To Miss JAK's Inauguration
The flag bearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the just ended December 7, 2004 general elections, Prof. John Evans Atta Mills will not attend the formal inauguration of the second term of President Kufuor if he is not issued with a personal invitation.
According to the Director of Communications of the Prof. Mills campaign in the last elections, Nii Lantey Vanderpuye said as at yesterday, 4th January, 2005, they had not received a letter from the State Protocol.
He said Prof Mills had since the last elections been inundated with several invitations and offers from various people and as a result, had no time for arbitrary way of life.
Mr Nii Lantey Vaderpuye said it was of such delays on the part of the State which made it impossible for Prof. Mills to attend the State of the Nation address held at the Parliament house yesterday, 4th January, 2005.
He said at the time the invitation came in, Prof Mills had other equally pressing responsibilities.
The formal inauguration of President John Agyekum Kufuor?s second term comes off on Friday, 7th January, 2005.

PNDC/NDC is the party, that have carried out more boycotts than any other political party in the history of Ghana.
In the 2004 elections the NDC challenged the election results at the supreme court. Mills and Rawlings boycotted the inauguration of President Kufuor. Victor smith then announced they wouldn`t even watch it on TV.
Prior to the elections in 2008 Mills warned that the NDC would not entertain any attempt by the NPP to steal the verdict of the people again. He warned the nation to expect mayhem if the party suspects the results of the December polls were rigged in favour of the NPP. He threatened to turn Ghana into Kenya if elections were rigged in favour of the NPP.
Your NDC even boycotted the state of the nation address by President Kufuor in 2007. Needless to mention the numerous times when they boycotted parliament as well.
I dont see, what is wrong with NPP following the legal means to address their grievances. I dont see, why NDC is talking nonesense like the NPP is disgracing the President. If they know they have legitimacy of the people, why should this process lead to a disgrace? It should rather enhance the image of President Mahama, when it comes out that he won on his own merit. Instead of talking substance to the issue, they are coming up with wild and baseless accusations. If its a disgrace to the President, then its an admission, that the integrity of our election is questionable and if anything should come out, that the Preisdent and EC stole the election, then it would be a disgrace to the President.

Truly, the boycott by the opposition NPP is just a play down on the people of Ghana especially those who voted them. Attending the inauguration does not mean they cannot go to court.Has the attendance of J.A Kuffour change anything?NPP must grow beyond this pettiness.
