What more can one say? A classic case of a person out of touch with reality and real people. This is NOT AMERICA Jack, you better learn that fast and adapt.

Except for the name-calling ("meat-heads),I'm with you. The writer interacted with everyday Ghanaians and enumerated everyday problems/issues faced by most Ghanaians. Yet Amina asks him to get real. What is Amina's "reality"? This is NOT America, she says - learn fast and adapt. A classic case of what one might call "illiteracy of the semi-educated"! Oops! I'm resorting to name-calling. O-O, please don't cry for our folks at home. I believe you've heard this before: YE DEE SAA NA YE TE; WONTUMI NE YEN NTENA A, TU. That's how we are (behave), if you can't live with us, move out! That's Amina for you, massa.

The fact is, it is getting worse and worse. We did not have the problem of power outages, water shortages and many of the problems mentioned until the 80s.

Kwabena, I come three miles from Abura Dunkwa, and its pathetic to see what object poverty is when one always visits home. Recently I called the district head to ask him some few questions. What came out of his mouth is he is busy some where. You see our MP's are to be blamed. They are more concerned on their own than the society at large. Central Region is one of the poorest Regions in Ghana yet most of the time the region dictates the presidency.
Instead of the mp's using that clout to do something better they don't. So sad indeed.

Come home to solve problems with people like you? What you fail to realise is that it sometimes takes an outsider to point out your failures to you. People like you kokroko are used to the rotten system so you see nothing wrong with it. You refuse to admit the fact that there is so much potential in this country which if properly harnessed will put us at par with the likes of South Africa. Typical of a semi illiterate, everything to you is NPP/NDC. You can't even use your brains to think outside the box. Hopeless individual.

Your kind of intellectual ignorance is what is keeping Ghana in the dark ages. If education can't be the panacea for social ills and national problems, what can? Across the globe, un-developed nations are revamping their education systems. The answer for this shift is pretty simple - to drive economic growth and transform their societies. Forget about the obsession with Free SHS. What we want is education for all. How the government is going to deliver this agenda remains to be seen. If you can't provide an education for all, we'll persist in our national ignorance. Your reasoning beggers belief. If you think that education for all Ghanaians isn't a solution to the many perennial issues facing Ghana, then you should stay where you are. We don't need you. You have no clue what an effective education system does for a society. Capital in the hands of a bunch of poor leaders is a terrible resource.

Well spoken Kwabena, ghanaians are ghanaians. I think they are satisfied with the lives they are living. You know bribery to ghanaians is like a river flowing to a sea because they don't see anything wrong with it. Maybe it's part of our DNA. Even my eleven years daughter knows that you have give sex to get ahead. It's very sad. It is like living in pit and can not get out. What a country? I hope that Prez Mahama will turn things around to create his legacy.

Until such time that they themselves realise to cry out, Mr writer, your artilces will only compound your sorrow. They are not even aware of What the Member of Parliament is for - a Representative of their community in Accra who has the ability to change things. Our SYSTEM does not make allowance for development of every sector of the economy.
It rather REWARDS constituents who lean on the Ruling party's side.
IF your MP does not belong to the governing party, TOUGH LUCK!!! that will be development through the window for you.
We could go on.
Try to help and educate and you would be termed " an Enemy of the State" by the same people you try to help.
You have done well to Highlight the issues, DO WHAT YOU CAN to help,
OK. All the Best
