CABINET ENDORSES MORAL STUDIES

Cabinet has endorsed the re-introduction of religious and moral studies into the curricula of primary and Junior Secondary Schools education as a separate subject.

Besides, the number of subjects at the lower primary is to be reduced to five because, nine subjects are rather too many for children between six and eight.

A statement issued by the Information Minister, Kofi Totobi Quakye said last night that cabinet has decided that the Education Ministry Should make report of the Education Reform review Committee and the Ministry's own recommendation available to the public to allow for a wider national discussion for a white to be issued.
