Fire guts Mallam Market

Reports reaching RadioXYZonline.com indicate that the Mallam Market on the Western part of the capital has been gutted by fire.

It is not clear what might have sparked the fire but officers from the National Fire Service have been unable to bring the raging fire under control.

An eyewitness told RadioXYZonline.com that the fire started a few minutes before 6:00AM and has been raging since.

According to the eyewitness, the fire has gutted down all the shops in the market and the Fire Service is still struggling to put the fire out with the two available fire tenders.
