Students: Housemaster Has Been Inspecting Our Panties

Students of the Adu Gyamfi Senior High School at Jamase in the Ashanti region are accusing police in the area of assault and maltreatment.

The accusation follows the disruption of a demonstration held by the students on Tuesday. The students went the rampage and vandalised school property in protest to what they say is maltreatment by their senior house master.

Some of them have left the school following the incident. Some students who spoke to XYZ News on anonymity said, the housemaster comes into their dormitories to inspect their underpants as well as other private parts.

Explaining the circumstances leading to the demonstration, Kwabena Kesse, the headmaster of the school said the students were angry about the caning of two senior prefects by the house master. He urged the students who have gone home to return as studies are ongoing.
