MTN supports celebration of Oguaa Fetu Afahye

Cape Coast, Aug. 24, GNA - The Management of MTN on Wednesday, presented a cheque for GHc5,000 to the Oguaa Fetu Afahye celebration planning committee at the Omanhen's palace in Cape Coast . In addition, MTN donated recharge cards worth GHC 1,000, assorted MTN souvenirs, a drink hamper, as well as sponsorships for events like the gran= d durbar, football gala, royal walk, health screening and an investment seminar. Mr Samuel Appiah, the Western and Central Business District Senior Manager of MTN, who presented the items, said the gesture was to show their support towards the celebration of this year's Oguaa Fetu Afahye, which i= s being celebrated under the Theme, 93peaceful Co-existence; Pre-Requisite f= or the Development of Oguaaman".

He gave the assurance that MTN would continue to deepen its relationship with the people of Oguaa to ensure mutual benefits and thanked the chiefs and people of Oguaaman, whose constant support of their business has contributed significantly to MTN retaining its leadership position in the telecoms industry in the country.

Mr Appiah announced that MTN has invested more than 90 million dollars in the West African Cable System (WACS) submarine to offer their subscribes= , including those in and around Cape coast, 93the very best of network services." He said MTN has also launched 93MTN Business", to offer ICT support= for small, medium and large scale businesses in the country and was hopeful tha= t the people of Cape Coast would take advantage of the facility to boost thei= r businesses with the best broadband service available in Ghana. He reminded subscribers, who have not yet registered their SIM cards t= o do so before September 30th to continue enjoying the great offers on their network. Osabarimba Kwesi Atta II, Omanhen of Oguaa traditional area thanked th= e management of MTN for the gesture and promised that the Oguaa traditional council would continue to do business with MTN. He said the donation was timely and that it would go a long way to boost the celebration of this year's Fetu Afahye celebration.
