GFA to flush out unlicensed coaches

Ghanaian coaches without any recognized training and certification could be out of jobs by the end of the year after the Ghana Football Association president Kwesi Nyantekyie warned such coaches will be flushed out of the system soon.

The GFA has been rolling out many coaching courses at its Ghanaian Soccer School of Excellence and Nyantekyie says it will become mandatory for coaches to have some form of qualification or lose their jobs at the end of the year.

"By the end of this year we will not allow coaches to work here without the most basic of qualifications. In every field no matter how long you work there you need qualifications," he said.

"No matter how long you work in a courtroom you will not be considered a lawyer unless you have gone through some formal training. It should be the same with coaching.
