Abedi bemoans death of colts football

Abedi Pele has stuck the boot into the country's football authorities and warned Ghana could face a drain of taken unless the death of colts football is averted.

Abedi, himself a former Colts Player of the Year in Ghana is worried that the most potent production line in Ghana which is colts football is dying a slow death without proper intervention from the football authorities.

But with many players in the current national team heading towards the end of their careers, Abedi reckons the effect of the death of local football will hit home soon.

He said: "If you look at the national team we have played beautiful football but we need people to come in and take their place otherwise we are going to have a problem. A lot of players will not be there soon but if we don't go back to check the grassroots football which is the colts, we are going to have a big problem."
