Ghanaians should contribute meaningfully towards development-Rev Cudjoe

Kumasi, April 24, GNA - The Reverend Edward Ray Cudjoe, the General Overseer of King's Church Ghana, has stressed the need for Ghanaians to contribute meaningfully towards the socio-economic development of the nation. He noted that the government's better Ghana Agenda demanded that all hands should be on deck to ensure the successful implementation of its policy to improve the living conditions of the people. The Reverend Cudjoe was delivering the Easter message at the Kings Church, Ghana at South Suntreso, Kumasi. The theme for his message was: 93We can be Agents of change". He said Easter celebration was about turning a new leaf and reconciling with each other to ensure accelerated growth of the country.

The General Overseer observed that Christians, as agents of change, should lead upright and religious lives worthy of emulation. He was not happy with political events in Libya, Cote D'Ivoire, Burkina Faso and other countries resulting in mass killings and atrocities, internet fraud and sexual indecency and asked Ghanaians to pray unceasingly to God to ensure stability in those countries. The Reverend Cudjoe said, 93The rottenness of the world is an unfortunate evil manifestation of our disobedience but it seems man is incapable of providing any good solution to the problem". He said Jesus Christ was the only one who could give hope to a world enveloped in political instability, economic recession and spiritual decadence and advised Ghanaians to change their attitude and rededicate themselves to the worship and service of God.
