President Will Not Cut-down On Foreign Trips.

President J A Kufuor has hit back at his critics who complain that his numerous trips abroad are detrimental to the proper administration of the Country. Since the assumption of office,Mr Kufuor has made several trips abroad what he terms are efforts to help promote Sub-regional Intergration and investment but the relevance of some of these trips have been questioned.
One such trip was his recent visit to France and Togo. During President Kufuor’s visit his host, President Jack Chiraque was touring former French Colonies. The President at a one-year Victory Rally held at James-Town in Accra at the week-end that he will not in any way succumb to his critics and relent on his working visits abroad.
He explained to the Party supporters that his travels abroad are part of efforts to garner resources to put Ghana on the track to economic development and proper intergration with its neighbors.
President Kufuor says that Ghana has a responsibility not only to itself, but also to the West-African Sub-region, Africa and the entire World because most Countries on the Continent are looking up to Ghana take the initiative for economic success.
He admitted however that the governments performance during the year was not the best. President Kufuor told the rally that the NPP recognises that the fiscal and economic Policies have not been that successful. He said more stringent measures will have to be taken to for the economy to take good shape.
