Why The Delay In Paying Salaries Barclays Bank?

Kindly permit me to use your medium to express my disappointment at the manner in which Barclays Bank has handled my salary issues for the last four to five months.
It is a known fact that in Ghana, salaries hardly reach the end of the month. This means before the end of the month, you are already in debt or stretched yourself to the maximum and praying for the month to end.
The last four to five months have been terrifying for me. Despite the fact that my employers pay my salary and that of other colleagues same day– usually on the 24th of every month, if a working day, I have had to go through hell before my salary is credited my account(current account).
Colleagues with other banks usually have their accounts credited in less than three working days but mine this month took close to 7 – 8 working days before it is credited. This was like the last four months, after many phone calls and visits to the bank.
My checks reveal my employers follow through the proper channels required by the bank in salary payment and evidenced by the fact that colleagues in others banks get their salaries credited in time. I have spoken to three other friends with Accounts with Barclays who have also complained about this same inconvenience.
I am appealing to the management of the Bank to immediately sort out any issues that prevent salaries from being credited on time to save me the inconvenience and near embarrassment I have had to go through the last four to five months.
I thought the Banks have started using the e cheque clearing system so why Barclays Bank?
Thanks you very much!
Sincerely,
Bernard Kraku
