UK firm to organise Human Resource conference in Accra

Accra, June 26, GNA - The United Kingdom-based Occupational Management Limited, a human resource consultancy, is organising a three-day conference for Human Resource (HR) managers, from July 8 to July 10 to empower them to enhance productivity.

The conference will be on the theme: "Brighter Futures 2010-Developing a Skilled Workforce for Africa."

A statement issued in Accra on Friday by Mr Paul Asinor, Conference Director and copied to the Ghana News Agency said the participants would learn how to influence the vital contribution of human capital management into their strategic company plans. "Participants will also gain competitive advantage in areas that will help them attract and develop highly skilled talents to maximise their business performance; retain the right people that will add value to their businesses, as well as. implement deliberate business strategy." The statement said Mr Michael Potter, a renowned global speaker and Chief Executive Officer of MPA International, a UK firm, will make a presentation on "Recruitment, Retention and Development strategies for the Future".

The conference will expose the participants to lectures, plenary sessions and workshops on relevant HR issues facing today's businesses. The event will run alongside a major job recruitment fair. 26 June 10
