Patronise Made-In-Ghana goods

Goaso (B/A), June 17, GNA - Mr Stephen Afreh, Asunafo North Municipal head of Business Advisory Centre (BAC), has appealed to Ghanaians to patronize Made-in-Ghana goods, especially those produced in their localities.

He said this would encourage small and medium scale enterprises and create more job opportunities for the youth. Mr. Afreh was addressing the close of a 10-day advanced soap-making training course for 21 soap makers at Akrodie organised by the Centre under the Rural Enterprise Project.

He said the BAC "intends to assist 4,500 youth and women to benefit from the project within the four-year stipulated period." Mr Afreh said there was a marked improvement in the living conditions of persons who established their businesses after the first programme and expressed the hope that it would continue as long as they practised what they learnt.

"The overall aim of the rural enterprise project is to reduce poverty and create wealth among the youth and women through self employment in soap production, batik tie and dye and bee keeping", Mr. Afreh said.
