Nduom Congratulates Mills

STATEMENT BY DR. PAPA KWESI NDUOM, M.P. and PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE OF THE CONVENTION PEOPLE’S PARTY FOR THE 2008 ELECTIONS ON THE ELECTION OF PROF. J. E. ATTA MILLS AS THE NEXT PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF GHANA

I wish to congratulate Prof. John E. Atta Mills on his election as the next President of the Republic of Ghana. His endurance, persistence and ability to work through a number of campaigns to finally emerge victorious is remarkable and is a testimony to his commitment to public service.

It is my hope that Prof. Mills will use the same persistence and tenacity to help reduce the polarization of our country so that we can all act and feel as one people. All leaders, political, social and religious should all resolve to assist in building a great and prosperous country free from poverty by helping in their spheres of influence. We must all work to unite our people and bring inclusiveness into Ghanaian society so that the best people can serve the country in all areas of society.

Once again, congratulations to President-elect Atta Mills and best wishes to him and the people of Ghana.
