NVTI trade test for 153 Asamankese artisans

Asamankese, Sept. 27, GNA - One hundred and fifty-three artisans in the West Akyem Municipality have undertaken the National Vocational Training Institute (NVTI) trade test examination at Asamankese. Masons, carpenters and mechanics participated in the test, which was organized by the Asamankese Rural Enterprise Project (REP). Mr Roland R. Agodzo, Project Manager, of the REP, commended the artisans for cooperating with organisers of the test, which he said showed their desire to acquire skills. He said the trade test was necessary to determine the level of skills of artisans in order to award them certificates for job placements.

Mr Agodzo said their skills and certificates acquired would make the artisans marketable. He said the trade test would be held periodically and expressed the hoped that other artisans would avail themselves of the opportunity to acquire skills and certificates. 27 Sept 08
