NPP requires renewed mandate for unfinished business - Nana Akufo-Addo

Dambai(VR), June 23, GNA - Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo- Addo, Flagbearer of New Patriotic Party (NPP), last week-end urged the electorate to renew the Party's mandate to complete its unfinished business. He said "NPP's Positive Change Chapter Two goes beyond 2008." Nana Akufo-Addo made the call at a durbar at Dambai during his campaign tour of the northern part of Volta Region. He said NPP Government had instituted a systematic agenda capable of transforming the country into a middle-income society. Nana Akufo-Addo said under his administration, revenue from the oil find would be used judiciously to build a united, strong and free nation.

"I promise a transparent and accountable use of revenue from the oil find to develop every part of the country when voted into power," he said.

Mr Allan Kyeremanteng, a leading member of the Party, said the crucial issue in Election 2008 was development rather than politics. He urged the electorate to judge the NPP by its developmental landmarks.

Nana Kwaku Biyonuhor, Chief of Dambai, expressed concern about the deplorable roads, lack of potable water and a district hospital and appealed to government to improve conditions in the area.
