Ministry to register fish farmers

Accra, Jan. 28, GNA - The Ministry of Fisheries on Monday asked all existing fish farms established either by co-operatives, companies or individuals to register in their districts and regional offices of the Ministry.

A statement signed by E M Quaye, Chief Director, said the exercise would enable the Ministry to programme extension and other services including the offer of technical advice.

It would also help the Ministry to create a data base for fish farmers and farms as well. "All fish farmers are advised to take note of the request for prompt action," it added.
