Accra bourse continues to climb

Accra, Aug. 9, GNA - The Accra bourse continued to climb in trading on Thursday although shares traded slumped once again to under 100,000. The GSE All-Share Index, the main stock index, rose by 1.82 points to 5,360.07 from 5,358.25 points. Change for the year improved to 7.07 per cent.

Shares that changed hands slumped to 64,900 from 847,300 on Wednesday.

There were five price changes, all positive.

Ecobank Ghana was 0.0005 GH cedis higher at 1.4850 GH cedis, Ghana Commercial Bank was 0.0006 better at 0.6896 GH cedis, Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited gained 0.0030 GH cedis at 0.9650 GH cedis, SG-SSB gained 0.0005 GH cedis at 0.9086 GH cedis while Unilever was better by 0.0050 GH cedis at 1.9100 GH cedis.

Market capitalization was 11,586.01 million GH cedis from 11,584.89 GH cedis.
