GSE All-Share index in big gain on back of impressive UNIL performance

Accra, June 22, GNA - The Ghana Stock Exchange benchmark, the GSE-All Share Index, made an impressive gain in trading on Friday on the back of an impressive Unilever (UNIL) performance.

The index closed higher by 36.2 points at 5,300.75 points from 5,264.55 points. Change for the year stands at 5.89 per cent. Shares that changed hands jumped to 1,024,100 from 87,500 with UNIL selling one million.

There were three positive price changes. UNIL gained 3,400 cedis at 19,000 cedis, ECOBANK Ghana Limited was 25 cedis better at 14,400 cedis and Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited gained one cedi at 9,533 cedis. Market capitalization ended the session at 114,775.05 billion cedis from 114,558.36 billion cedis.
