Kumasi, June 16, GNA - Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene has called on journalists in the country to educate the public and stop creating tension in the country with stories they filed in both the print and electronic media.

The Asantehene made the call when Mr Ibrahim Awal, Managing Director of Graphic Communication Group Limited, called on him at the Manhyia Palace at the weekend as part of his working tour of the Ashanti Region.

He said as professionals, journalists should not support any political party but be impartial in dealing with national issues for the benefit of society.

Mr Awal expressed appreciation to the Asantehene and pledged to improve upon the status of the Company.

He presented copies of "Graphic Asempa" to the Asantehene. The Newspaper was lunched in May 2007 for Ashanti and Brong Ahafo Regions.
