Minority asked to help address energy crisis

Offinso (Ash), April 20, GNA- Mr Karikari Pambour Prempeh, Assembly Member for Dome-Abuasu in Offinso, on Thursday urged the minority parties in parliament to help the Government to address the energy crisis.

The Assemblyman, who is also the Offinso Zonal Co-ordinator of the National Disaster Management Organisation, also called on the parties to offer constructive suggestions and to desist from criticisms that would not benefit the nation.

Speaking to newsmen at Offinso, Mr Prempeh advised Ghanaians not to allow their political leaning to affect their civic and moral obligations to help build a peaceful and prosperous nation. He noted that good governance and prudent economic measures were required at this crucial period of national development to address the energy crisis.

Mr Prempeh said the government had demonstrated high sense of good leadership and political maturity and must therefore be supported and encouraged to address the crisis, which he described as natural disaster.

He advised Ghanaians to plant more trees to protect the environment from degradation.
