GSE All-Share Index continues to rise

Accra, Oct. 4, GNA - The Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) All-Share Index, the main benchmark, continued its rise during Wednesday trading that saw huge sale of Super Paper Products Company (SPPC) shares but a slump in its price.

The Index increased by 0.08 points at 4,944.13 points from 4,944.05 points.

Change for the year remained the same at 3.67 per cent. Traded shares ended higher at 1,223,500 from 159,600 shares. On the broader market there were five price changes, four up and one down.

ECOBANK gained one cedi at 12,131 cedis; Enterprise Insurance Company gained two cedis at 8,502 cedis; ECOBANK Trans-national Incorporated gained one cedi at 22,707 cedis and Standard Chartered Bank gained 19 cedis at 150,020 cedis. The only loser was Super Paper Products Company, which was down by 33 cedis at 300 cedis. Market Capitalisation was better at 111,403.29 billion cedis from 111,402.78 billion cedis.
