"Cocaine C'mtte" to work behind closed doors

The Committee investigating missing parcels of cocaine on the shipping vessel M V Benjamin will from Monday hear testimonies away from the prying eyes of the media.

Justice Georgina Wood who chairs the committee says sensitive national security issues will be addressed by the security agencies, hence the need for the closed session.

Representatives from the country's security agencies are expected to testify before the committee.

However, ACP Kofi Boakye and his lawyers are expected to appear on Wednesday to confirm or raise objections about the transcript of the taped conversation he had with the four arrested suspects. That's from Monday.

Well, today journalists were allowed to cover the proceedings. Four of the six suspected drug dealers in detention today refused to cooperate with the Georgina Wood Committee.
