Anna Bossman rejects allegations of double-standards

The head of the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) has described as ridiculous and baseless, allegations of double standards leveled against the commission by a pressure group.

Miss Anna Bossman was reacting to a statement by The Truth Foundation, which accused CHRAJ of engaging in double standards in its investigations of two high profile cases.

The group referred to the commission?s plans to facilitate a trip to Ghana by a key witness in its investigations into fraudulent allegations against Road Transport minister, Dr. Richard Anane.

According to the Truth Foundation, CHRAJ should have extended similar courtesies to another key witness, Miss Gizelle Yajzi, during its investigations into the Hotel Kufuor saga.

But, speaking on Joy FM?s News File programme, Miss Bossman argued that the circumstances surrounding the two cases are not the same.

The Human Rights Commission announced that it will assist Miss Alexandria O?Brien, a former mistress of Dr. Anane to travel to Ghana and assist in the investigations of corruption allegation against the minister.
